Partners for Meth Prevention of the Council Bluffs-Omaha area has been selected to receive Iowa’s first annual “Innovation, Determination and Excellence in Action” award for reducing substance abuse. The IDEA award was created by the Office of Drug Control Policy to recognize those who show exemplary service and leadership that improve the health and safety of Iowans through drug control initiatives. Partners for Meth Prevention is being honored for building collaborations among citizen volunteers and organizations in the Council Bluffs-Omaha area to prevent meth and other drug abuse.
